OFFICIAL SINGLE PREMIERE: JENNIFER LOPEZ FEAT. PITBULL - LIVE IT UP
The lyric video for ‘Live It Up’ - Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull’s third collaboration in as many years - has been premiered online.
Proceedings kick off with a lengthy intro from Pitbull which paves the way for a merciless onslaught throughout the RedOne-produced track, with America’s current favoured featured artist infiltrating our minds with images of him loving, not fighting and indeed f**king tonight. And, by instructing him not to be ashamed of liking her bumper, Jennifer Lopez actively encourages such scandalous behaviour.
Basically ‘Live It Up’ is nowhere near as good as the 2011 smash ‘On The Floor’ or last year’s ‘Dance Again’. J Lo’s vocals sound pretty robotic, Pitbull sounds Pitbull. It lacks that “I want to lose myself in the music’ thing that its predecessors had but it does have a big singalong chorus, which makes up for J Lo’s rather forgettable verses.
And it is better than that awful Goonrock-produced/Flo Rida-assisted single ‘Goin’ In’ which she decided was suitable Greatest Hits album fare.
There’s a new J Lo album out later this year but ‘Live It Up’ is out in the UK on 25 May.
